Endace expands monitoring capabilities with Net Optics Taps
Auckland, New Zealand - February 12, 2008 - Endace Limited (LSE/AIM: EDA), a world leader in network monitoring solutions, today announced it will expand customer options for attaching Endace traffic capture devices to copper and fibre networks by reselling market-leading Net Optics® Taps. The agreement builds on the success of Endace's acquisition of Applied Watch Technologies LLC, a Net Optics worldwide reseller. The enhanced partnership will enable buyers of Endace Data Acquisition Generation (DAG®) cards and NinjaProbeTM appliances to source a full portfolio of network monitoring solutions from Endace as a single trusted supplier.
"Endace and Net Optics products are an excellent fit," said Steve Gleave, VP of Marketing for Endace. "The Net Optics Taps provide tremendous flexibility for monitoring the physical layer of copper and fibre networks - the connection that enables NinjaProbe appliances and Endace DAG cards to capture everything on the wire. Together, Endace and Net Optics offer a comprehensive passive monitoring solution."
Trent Fierro, Marketing Manager for Net Optics, said that the new agreement with Endace is a logical step forward based on the success previously experienced by Applied Watch: "Endace customers will gain access to an enhanced solution portfolio that delivers a comprehensive monitoring access platform across their entire network infrastructure."
Gleave added that all Endace NinjaProbes and Net Optics Taps are undetectable and "untouchable" by applications running on the network. "They introduce no latencies and provide the flexibility to connect or disconnect the probes without affecting traffic in any way. These are important requirements for traffic monitoring and analysis applications, performance and latency measurement, and lawful intercept," Gleave said.
