EndaceFlow NetFlow Generator

EndaceFlow is a high-speed NetFlow Generator application designed to be hosted on the EndaceProbe Analytics Platform in Application Dock, the EndaceProbe's built-in VM-hosting environment.

How EndaceFlow Works

The EndaceFlow application runs in Application Dock, and accesses a live feed of the traffic recorded by that EndaceProbe. It processes that live traffic to generate NetFlow records in v5, v9 or IPFIX format, allowing it to distribute to any NetFlow collector on the market.

EndaceFlow can generate pure 1:1 NetFlows (where every packet contributes to a flow record) as opposed to sampled NetFlows (where flow records are generated only for a sample of packets).

The benefits of 1:1 NetFlow

EndaceFlow can generate 1:1 NetFlows (where every packet contributes to a flow record) as opposed to sampled NetFlows (where flow records are generated only for a sample of packets).

Sampled flow information, such as is often generated by routers and switches simply doesn’t provide the level of detail necessary for accurately monitoring and troubleshooting security threats and performance issues that pure 1:1 NetFlows offer.

How Do I Get EndaceFlow?

The EndaceFlow image and documentation are available from the Endace Support Portal. It requires a (free) license to activate it - which can be obtained through Endace Support.

If you don't have a Support Portal account, you can request one here.
