Mike Riley

Mike Riley

Chief Executive Officer

Mike joined Endace in November 2006 as VP Worldwide Marketing for Endace before taking up the role of CEO in July 2007. Mike has over 25 years experience in the networking and security marketplace. Prior to joining Endace he served for four years as Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at Network Engines, Inc. (NASDAQ: NENG), a leading manufacturer of server appliances for the security and storage networking market place. In this role he led Network Engines' Marketing and Corporate Development initiatives, including the launch of the Network Engines NS-series of security appliances in partnership with Microsoft Corporation.

Prior to his tenure at Network Engines, Mike served as Chief Marketing Officer at Sonexis, Inc., and Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Artel Video Systems, Inc. Mike was previously General Manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa for Premisys Communications, and held various technical and sales roles at Newbridge Networks in Europe.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton, UK.

Neil Hopkins

CFO and Finance Director

Neil Hopkins was formerly Finance Director of Sony Music Entertainment (New Zealand) Limited for 13 years, responsible for financial strategy and organisation structure. Prior to that Neil was Audit Manager at Price Waterhouse in Auckland, New Zealand for three years, having emigrated from the United Kingdom in 1987.

In London, Neil graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with honours from Kingston University School of Business, then trained as a chartered accountant and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales in 1987.

Neil is responsible for the overall financial management and operational excellence of Endace Group.

Stuart Wilson

Chief Technology Officer

Stuart joined Endace Technology in December 2005 as VP Engineering, and now as CTO is responsible for all product development working closely with Professor Ian Graham, Chief Scientist.

Prior to joining Endace, Stuart worked at Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies. Starting in 1997 he worked as a research and development engineer designing high speed FPGA systems for communications test equipment. At his time at HP/Agilent, Stuart brought a number of ground breaking products to market, notably Agilent's 40G RouterTester, delivering Layer-III 40G test capability, and more recently, Agilent's NetworkTester product, delivering application layer security test to the security device market.

Stuart was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1959 and holds a degree with Honours in Electronics & Communications Engineering from LaTrobe University in Melbourne, and a Postgraduate Degree in Management from the Melbourne Business School.

Tim Nichols

Tim Nichols

VP Global Marketing

Tim joined Endace in September 2009 as Director of Marketing. Prior to joining Endace, Tim had an extensive background in both B2B and B2C technology marketing. Most recently Tim was responsible for leading the development of the marketing strategy, brand and communications at Two Degrees Mobile Ltd - New Zealand's third mobile carrier which successfully launched in August 2009. Prior to 2Degrees, he held senior marketing roles at Sky City and Vodafone in New Zealand.

Tim is originally from the UK, where he worked at BT, and was instrumental in the planning and launch of 3UK - Hutchison's 3G mobile arm.

At Endace, Tim is responsible for marketing and communications globally.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Hull, UK.

 

Neil Livingston

Chief Product Officer

Neil Livingston joined Endace in September 2009, from ProvencoCadmus, a New Zealand listed company specialising in EFTPOS solutions, where he served as the company's Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for product development. Prior to ProvencoCadmus, Neil held General Manager roles at Modempac, a private telecommunications specialist, and Ericsson NZ, where he was instrumental in managing and growing business with both Telecom NZ and Vodafone NZ. Prior to Ericsson New Zealand, he held senior sales and marketing roles at Ericsson in Sweden.

At Endace, Neil is responsible for product development.

Neil holds a Global Management Diploma from Thunderbird University, Arizona, USA, and a mini-MBA from Auckland University, New Zealand.

 

Chris Komatas

Vice President Operations

A returning Kiwi, Chris brings over 15 years of international product management and marketing experience in the telecommunications industry to Endace. Before joining Endace Chris worked with Ericsson in NZ and the UK and with Juniper Networks in the UK and the USA. Chris has held both world-wide corporate and field marketing leadership roles, responsible for creation and go-to-market launch of new network solutions across service provider and enterprise customers. He has a broad knowledge of the service provider and enterprise markets, business models and network and security technologies and in-depth knowledge of wireline, wireless, and content/data centre architectures. At Endace Chris is responsible for Product Lifecycle Management and Operations for all Endace Products and Services worldwide.

Chris has a Bachelor of Technology (Honours) in Manufacturing and Industrial from Massey University.

When not working, Chris likes to spend time with his young family.

Kevin Formby

Kevin Formby

Head of Business Development

With a first class honours degree in Electrical and Communications Engineering from Birmingham University in the UK, Kevin first worked in the defence industry as a weapons systems engineer with GEC Marconi in the UK. Subsequently he moved into the telecommunications industry with business development and marketing roles with BT, SITA and then Equant. At Equant he was responsible for the global product management of the network services business which operated in over 150 countries around the world and delivered a series of global product launches which established Equant (now Orange Business Services) as a true leader in global communications.

In 2000 he was part of the original management team that set up the Radianz which went on to become the defacto means of interconnecting clients for electronic trading. During his ten years at Radianz (and BT Radianz since its acquisition by BT) he held a series of senior management roles including Head of US Sales, Head of European Sales, and Head of Business Development. Kevin is an acknowledged expert at electronic trading and especially issues concerning latency and traffic capacity handling. He has presented at many industry events and conferences around the world on the topics of latency and connectivity.

Bill Cantrell

Bill Cantrell

Vice President Partner Sales and Government Solutions

Bill brings to Endace over 15 years of experience in the network security, routing, and switching marketplaces. Bill was the senior manager for Systems Engineering at Avici Systems, a Massachusetts based core routing startup - where he built out the team and was instrumental in their largest carrier win and nationwide deployment. Bill has also held senior Systems Engineering positions at Fore Systems, Dynatech Communications, and DeepNines Technologies and has experience covering US and international carrier, federal and enterprise markets.

Bill's earlier career included communication systems design at Computer Sciences Corporation and five years in the US Air Force's Communications Command, where he also worked as a translator for US and NATO forces while stationed in Southern Italy.

Bill has a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from Capitol College, MD.

Rick Truitt

Rick Truitt

General Manager, USA

Rick joined Endace in September 2006, bringing over 20 years in the telecommunications arena with focus in Professional services, solution sales and Senior level management roles. Prior to Endace, Rick held a Vice President of Professional Services title with Premiere Global Services and various Senior level roles with Equant in Sales and Support.

Previous to those years he held positions in Dynatech communications, S.W.I.F.T. and the State department. Rick started his career in the United States Navy, Defense Intelligence Agency Pentagon. Rick holds a B.S. in Business Administration.

Jason Moore

Jason Moore

General Manager, EMEA

Jason joined Endace in June 2007 to grow the appliance sales within the EMEA region, increasing revenue in both financial services and European government before becoming General Manager Sales EMEA in April 2010.

Prior to joining Endace, Jason was the Sales Director for Northern Europe at iDirect Technologies, a US-based satellite communications firm that grew from a start-up to becoming the market leader. Prior to joining iDirect Jason was the Director of Sales for Western Europe and Government Services at EuropeStar Ltd, a start-up satellite operator co-funded by then Alcatel Space and Loral Space. EuropeStar provided global connectivity solutions to international government organisations for secure communications, as well as national broadcasting and telecommunications agencies.

Jason was educated in radio communications at the Army Apprentices College, Harrogate, prior to completing eight years of service in the Armed Forces (Royal Signals).
