Purpose built for packet capture

Endace Probes offer unparalleled performance, value and flexibility. Based on our patented DAG® Technology, our Series 3000 and Series 7000 Probes are the product of more than ten years of research, testing and optimisation. They set new standards for port density and performance. They are designed from the ground up to capture, time-stamp, store and analyse your network traffic.

The product of experience

Born out of the need to supply our DAG® card customers with server hardware that was genuinely capable of running high speed packet analysis applications, we have developed our range of Probes.

By integrating our industry-leading DAG® cards into a highly optimised server solution which has been specifically designed to enable maximum I/O bandwidth between the DAG® cards, CPU, memory and storage we have been able to create our unique 3000 and 7000 Probes.

When combined with our Endace OSm software our 3000 and 7000 Probes are capable of capturing 100% of the packets on any interface up to 40Gb/s right across your network, aggregating the data and making it available to be analysed by any application you choose.

Unparalleled price performance

With up to 20 1GigE ports or 10 10GigE ports and 32TB of local storage on a single probe, the 3U 7000 probe raises the bar in terms of port-density, performance and value – allowing you to radically reduce the number of Probes required to build a comprehensive packet capture fabric.

Leveraging the latest quad-core Nehalem processor technology, Endace Probes have the power to capture traffic at full line rate right up to 40Gb/s making them by far the most price competitive packet capture solutions on the market today.

Any network, any speed

Regardless of the network interfaces you use, Endace Probes provide 100% packet capture across the full range enabling you to seamlessly capture traffic across your entire network. Probes can be upgraded over time to different port configurations as your needs change.

We are the only company to offer the full range of SONET / STM interfaces, making us the natural choice for organisations that are using a mix of different technologies, are considering upgrading to 10GE or who simply demand the power to see all.

To 40Gbps and beyond

Endace is aiding large carriers as they upgrade their high-speed backbones to deliver their customers a new range of product offerings - such as residential broadcast IPTV and video-on-demand.

Our Probes can be configured to deliver full line-rate capture and storage of data on heavily-loaded 40Gbps OC-768/STM-256 multiprotocol label switched (MPLS), packet over SONET (PoS) network segments.

Infiniband packet capture

As part of our commitment to cover every possible network interface we are now able to offer packet capture and analysis support for InfiniBand datagrams without directly affecting the operation of these low-tolerance computing networks.
