EndaceProbe 3820
The EndaceProbe™ 3820 is designed to meet the exacting needs of government intelligence agencies and other organizations responsible for passively capturing large volumes of data from heterogeneous network environments.
The 3820 is the most powerful, open and feature-rich system in its class and is redefining how federal organizations go about capturing traffic for the purposes of intelligence gathering and network analytics. The low SWaP (Spare, Weight and Power) characteristics of the system enable organizations to standardise on a single 1U system for all data acquisition, enabling significant resource savings.
The EndaceProbe 3820 addresses the following monitoring requirements:
- 100% lossless packet capture at 10 Gb/s on both OC-192 and 10 GbE LAN/WAN
- High resolution timestamps on all packets to +/- 7.5nSecond resolution
- Full stack bypass with hardware-based load balancing and layer 2 & 3 filtering
- High port count (4 individually configurable Rx and Tx ports capable of monitoring OC192/STM 64)
- Extremely low SWaP consumption
- Full channelized CO-192 and STM-64 inspection, including packet overheads
- Full platform/application separation
- Central management and virtualised application hosting environment.
SONET frame inspection
Unlike other competitive systems, the 3820 is able to perform complete SONET channel inspection and includes full SONET/SDH frame access. It supports the ability to:
- Monitor up to 64 SONET channels per interface
- Monitor ANY channelization structure to STM-1/OC-3
- Provide byte-stream, PoS or ATM payload extraction by channel
- Support full overhead extraction by channel
- Flexible channel OH/SPE data routing to multiple CPU cores
- Full bandwidth, minimum packet size on all interfaces simultaneously
- Full support for custom packet classification and distribution algorithms
- Access to SONET/SDH channel structures without the need for external switches or routers
- Access to all SONET/SDH overheads for complete channel inspection.
