Endace Commits to Another Year as Open Information Security Foundation Gold Level Consortium Member
Endace Limited (LSE/AIM: EDA), a world leader in network monitoring solutions, announced that it will continue to support the Open Information Security Foundation as a Gold Level Consortium Member. OISF is a US-government backed initiative currently developing the next generation of open-source security products.
Support of the OISF has come from private donations as well as sponsorship from several leading international network security companies, including Endace. OISF has also receives funding from the United States Department of Homeland Security's Science and Technology Directorate.
OISF has completed its first objective is to deliver an open-source Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Protection (IDS/IPS) engine and is now moving on to Phase II of development.
