Endace is looking for an experienced and talented VHDL Designer to join the team. You will be expert in embedded development - VHDL and FPGA (Xilinx Virtex II, Spartan 3, Virtex II Pro, Virtex 4, Virtex 5 etc) and familiar with tools such as Synplicity Synplify, Xilinx Foundation, Mentor Graphics ModelSim, Aldec ActiveHDL Simultor, Xilinx ChipScope.

You will be well-versed in structured development including the use of source-code management tools such as CVS or Subversion, and disciplined in your application of project management best practices. A relevant tertiary qualification is a must.

The role will require expertise in some or all of the following:
  • Networking and communications.
  • OC3-OC192, SONET, ATM, POS, HDLC, AAL, SAR.
  • Ethernet 10/100/1000/10000.
  • IP, UDP, TCP, ARP.
  • PCI, PCI-X, PCI-Express.

An exposure to and understanding of Unix environments (including Linux, BSD), CygWin, C/C++ and scripting (shell, perl, python) would also be highly desirable.

Your role will include the design, programming and testing of devices incorporating FPGA’s for use in data monitoring and capturing solutions. You will work closely with members of Endaces hardware and software and support teams, as well as component engineers.
